Hi All,
I join new organisation & they have Windows 2000 professional in 4 PC. It is installed in Spanish language And I don't understand anything. I want to change English (US) language without using Windows 2000 CD.
I downloaded Service Pack 4 but it shows me Error "Setup cannot update your Windows 2000 files because the language installed on your system is different from the update language"
Please help me, I am getting hard time to resolve this problem.
Thanks All,

You may be out of luck...the English language Pack needs to be purchased from MS for other language editions i believe.

Versions of Windows Prior to 7 were localized installations. That is- there were no "language packs", at least not as far as I recall.

They were available for XP...

Shouting for attention is ill-mannered and childish. What part of this do you not understand?
To install a language, click its check box and then click the Apply button. You’ll be asked for the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.

There are two ways in which Windows 2000 can support multiple languages - localized versions of the operating system and Regional Settings (also called Locales) within a localized version. To install a Locale you need the CD, unless it has been installed already.
