Title: Wireless?

I was looking at some new eMachines at Walmart and noticed the list attributes included "ethernet."

Does this mean these desktops will pick up the wireless signals from my wireless router?

If not, what do I need to buy to get them on-line wirelessly?

Yes, the eMachine can tine to your router via Ethernet**. If you want wireless you get an adapter. But do you already have internet to your router?

** Ethernet means a wired connection to a router.

Yes, I'm on Hughes Net. Laptops, of course, have no problem getting on my network, but I did wonder if the new desktops could get on just like my laptops.

Okay, understand I will need an adapter. I assume this will be something to pick up the signal, and likely will plug into a ethernet port in the back.

An adapter would either use a USB port or plug into a expansion slot within the computer.

Just thought I'd point this out -

It probably will have to be a USB adapter. Alot of the modern Acer and eMachines desktop's now I see aimed at home users are using micro chassis' ... can't fit a standard PCI card in them unfortunately :/ And it voids the warranty to even take the side off...

Good quality Wireless USB adapters do not have to be expansive. The performance is often as good or better that a PCI.
