I have an HP HDX16-1200 CTO laptop and have been having a strange power problem for the last year. The power supplied to the computer goes on and off when I'm using it (charging of the battery cuts in and out). The strange thing that is happening is that the power supply remains on and charges the battery (does not cut in and out) when the computer is off, in sleep mode or hibernation. The computer works fine with just the battery, but my computer does not work when I only use the power supply and no battery. Geek Squad at Best Buy said it wasn't the power supply or the jack. Thanks!
