Title: internal hard drive is being recognized as a usb drive
Post by: shashgo on February 18, 2013, 08:19:36 PM
I had  a virus on my toshiba laptop L305-S5877.  So I reloaded the OS, and everything seemed to be going well, until the desktop showed after the install was completed.  I noticed that in my task bar, there was that icon that you normally get when you plug in a usb device.  And I clicked on it to find out that the device that was listed was my internal hard drive.  Why is it doing this and how do I fix it?

Also I noticed that when I plug in an external hard drive or anything into a usb port, it is not recognized and I dont hear the familiar sound or see the device as being plugged in.  Whats going on
