I get that pop-up ever so often. Looks legit, but thought I'd ask before messing with it.

Thanks in advance.

You're using Internet Explorer 9, right? (You didn't say). This is the "Speed up browsing by disabling add-ons Message" that annoys many people. Depending on which version of Windows you have. You cannot remove it from Internet Explorer's menus or options, but you can do these things:

You can increase the average page load time delay limit

When the popup notification message appears again, click on "Choose add-ons" button. It'll open a new window. Now look at the bottom of the window. You'll see "Tell me when the delay caused by add-ons exceeds:" option. It would be set to 0.20 seconds by default. Click on the drop-down box and set it to 10.00 seconds. Click on "Done" button and it should disable the popup notification message, or at least make it not appear very often.

You can disable it by using Group Policy Editor available in some versions of Windows

or by editing the Registry (This is ONLY for people that know what they are doing!)

Under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies - add a new sub-key Ext - create a DWORD value named DisableAddonLoadTimePerformanceNotifica tions - value 1 - no popups, value 0 - popups enabled.

Thank you. Yes, as I was preparing the image I saw that time increase. Will definitely do that next time it rears it's annoying head.

Interesting if you should ask if I'm on IE9. I'm on IE10, but many web sites identify me as IE9. I don't know the why of that?

I also forgot to mention I was on W7.
