I got a new computer and it doesn't have A: drive.
I installed one write plus onto new computer.
I backed up data on old system to an external CD-R.
I can't get one write to recognize the data.
I attempt to restore from E:
window pops ups "CANNOT WRITE TO THE DRIVE.MAYBE A CD ROM"
I have gone to system preferences and clicked "back up" and checked off "Back up and restore E: on new computer but it still doesn't recognize data.
>>Checked burned CD and the data is definately there.
I need this desperately business!

Hi Holly,
I take it you are trying to recover data from a cd onto your new system?
Does it read the disc ok?
Are you able to 'explore' the disc by going into My Computer, right clicking the drive and selecting explore?
You have to 'copy' the files from a disc you cannot 'move' them as they are on a fixed (cd) drive.
