Title: Windows 8: Boot into Safe Mode from within Normal Mode
Post by: fixnowsupport on September 15, 2013, 01:23:02 PM
Windows 8 makes it difficult to get into Safe Mode. You no longer get to use the F8 key and will have to go through several windows including Advanced repair options until you get to Safe Boot. If you are able to login to Normal Mode of Windows 8, you can easily restart it into Safe Mode. Here's the entire guide with screenshots:

1) Open the Run window (Windows key + R) and type msconfig

2) In the System Configuration window, choose the Boot tab. Under Boot options, place a check next to Safe Boot and click Apply and OK.

3) In the popup, click on Restart.

Windows will now restart in Safe Mode.

4) If you want to switch back to the Normal mode open the Run window again, type msconfig and uncheck the Safe Boot option.
