Title: win98se on floppy

is it possible to put win98se on a laptop that only has a floppy drive?

You can partition and format the drive using a '98 bootdisk and then use another computer to copy all of the files from a '98 CD to the hard drive after which you can start the installation going from the floppy again.

 A better option is......remove the hard drive from the laptop>>>>>providing it has the space.....2/3 gigs......and use a ide adapter......connect it to a pc ide cable.....as a slave a boot the laptop drive withe the win98se install disk......done....

If it only has a floppy drive, then it probably has other limitations - like <64 meg RAM which will make it an un-fun experience.

What are system specs? It might not be worth the hassle.

64 MB is workable with '98se though.

Need to turn things off like Active Desktop and so on, don't use Norton or any other resource hogging software, use AVG instead.
