Title: Ipad mini won't hold incoming Charter e-mail?
Post by: Tjchang on November 30, 2013, 07:17:43 PM
My ipad mini has two e-mail addresses:gmail.com and Charter.net.  The gmail.com works okay. The Charter.net, however, can receive e-mails but would not hold them.  Once I click on a e-mail to read it, the e-mail would disappear after a few moments.  The emails I moved to the sub folders after reading would disappear also.  Because of this, my charter mail boxes show all empty when I open my Charter mails the nest time.

I brought this problem to a Apple store and was told that Charter e-mail services are known to be not friendly to Apple devices sometimes.  I ended up having to remove my charter account from ipad 2 and only use g-mail.

Can anybody help on this?  My great many thanks in advance. / tjchang

I do not use charter, but this is from their site:
Quote
Mail Forwarding
You can have your Charter Email
forwarded to up to 5 alternative email addresses.
Have your carter email forwarded to other accounts.
This will give you duplication of your emails.
Thee are many companies that will give you a free e-mail account. Take advbantage of them and make it easy on yourself. Yahoo is one of many.

BTW: You can have other e-mails apps on Apple devices.
