Title: Bad Sound
Post by: afriend on December 13, 2013, 04:58:59 PM
Audio playback on my HP2133 pops and crackles on playback - online/offline, plugged in/battery, speakers/ headphones, audio/video.  I've run the Microsoft Fixit.AudioPlayback and it didn't find any problems.   Running Vista.  How can I get it to run smoothly?

Audio Adapter may be damaged. Quickest and cheapest fix is to buy a USB Audio Adapter. I have bought a few of these myself and they work perfect and at a cost of like $9 you cant beat it. The last one I bought was 7.1 sound and the sound quality works perfect and the microphone jack works perfect with logitech headset I have for gaming.

I bought one of these initially when my daughters integrated audio on her Foxconn motherboard died and it worked with no problems and no software had to be installed. Within about 5 seconds of connecting it it was working.

I bought another for my desktop gaming system which is a 2009 hardware build with 2008 guts in it and the motherboard does not have Windows 7 audio drivers that make the mic work, only sound works on Windows 7, so I installed one of these into a front USB jack and this way I can game and chat with friends through vent etc with no problems.

I am one of the people who gave this device 5 eggs at newegg. This is the one I plugged into my daughters computer.

I also bought this one for myself with more features for $12

Thanks so much.  That sounds like an easy fix!
