Title: BSOD locale ID 1033
Post by: Nickocosmic on January 11, 2014, 11:05:23 PM
I've had this a few times within a twenty minute period. Unsure of what it could be. Doing some quick research I've found it might be hardware related (GPU, CPU, etc.). Here is the info after restart:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:   BlueScreen
  OS Version:   6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
  Locale ID:   1033

Additional information about the problem:
  BCCode:   da
  BCP1:   0000000000000504
  BCP2:   FFFFF6FC40068490
  BCP3:   0000000000000020
  BCP4:   000000000000D092
  OS Version:   6_1_7601
  Service Pack:   1_0
  Product:   256_1

Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Thanks for the quick reply. Here is what came up. I guess it was two different BSODS.

I've honestly never seen the first bsod before. The second one is related to your ati driver. Did you recently update the driver for your video card?

I did update the driver last night to the latest one, I just don't remember if it was before or after that BSOD. Might have been after. Thanks for your replies, Allan.

Revert back to the original driver...
Newer drivers are not always better drivers...

As patio suggests, you should only update drivers if there is a specific need or reason to do so. Please roll back the driver to the previous version and let's see what happens.

Alright, GPU driver rolled back, seems stable now I suppose. However, upon shutdown, I got this BSOD:

Do you have SoundMax  audio drivers installed ? ?
If so do the same as above...

I do not have SoundMax drivers, just Realtek HD Audio. Should I still do the same?

That is a very rare error and is usually caused by a bad or conflicting driver. If you updated any other drivers recently, roll them back as well. Alternatively, you can use system restore to go back to a date before you updated the drivers.

So on a whim, I decided to pull out one of my RAM sticks. No crashes/BSODs. I haven't gotten intense with usage yet, but I was able to play a couple games for about a half hour each without problems. I'll post back if anything happens. Thanks for the help, guys!
