Title: How to find file in Zip files... Help please

Hi could nned some help here, please....

I wonder if it is possible to search for specific files on a drive which are included in a zip file.

So fare I try to find the files with the Dir command but cannot find files in zips

Is there a way?????

Well, the only way is to unpackage the files first and then search for them.  :)

With Windows, a tool like WinZip, PowerArchiver, or (in XP) the enhanced cabinet viewer, will open ZIPs and let you examine and extract the content files.

In DOS, you use PKZIP to unpack the ZIP to a directory, then view it with DIR or a filebrowser.
