Title: iRulu 10" Android Tablet Review
Post by: Geek-9pm on March 02, 2014, 12:42:26 PM
Awhile back I bought a 10 inch Irulu Android tablet with keyboard. Overall, it has been a disappointment. Of course, the price was very low. Ir is a ice cream sandwich 4.0 version. Keyboard is optional. Haas 8 GB.

Some programs work good. The new version of  Netflix from Google store is OK.
This video from You Tube echos my own observations.  In short, I will keep it. But I wish I have saved my money for something else.  :'(

Bottom line: Ten inch toy with keyboard.

Interesting review, thanks.  I had never heard of iRulu before.

Personally, I think the 10" form factor is too big for a tablet, if I go that big, I'd rather have a netbook or laptop.

The price of this tablet is pretty low but I'd much rather have my Nexus 7 (Android KitKat) or my Dell Venue 8 Pro (Win 8.1).  Both are more expensive but worth it to me.  I prefer the smaller form factor since, IMO, they are more portable than the larger tablets.

Well, this is a review about the little known  Irulu tablet.
Yes, a 7 inch android without a keyboard would have been a better chicle. But I already had a 7 inch and I though the larger size would help. The keyboard is nice,  but it is not very portable. You have to have a flat surface to make it work.
The 7 inch Androids cost less and some are better, IMHO. But hared for me to use.
I want to  keep the 10 inch Irulu with keyboard  it because I have to have a keyboard. I don't have pointy fingers.

What stops you from using a keyboard with a 7" tablet?

Nothing. My old 7 inch android works OK with keyboard. But it did not come with a keyboard. The newer 10 inch  has a nice case for both keyboard and the Android. Nice package.
To tell the truth, the old 7 inch works as good or better as the 10 inch.
I had high hopes.  :(

I thought the case/keyboard was an extra, the tablet actually came with those items?  That makes the deal somewhat better.

BTW, there is an issue with the link in your first post, the link is entered as "http://ttp//www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcPtFful8bcTh" so clicking on it fails.  You may get more hits if you fix the link.

 >:(I bought an IRULU tablet...worst mistake. This was truly a waste of money. I've had it now for 2 months, the charger shorted out, and charging it up with a USB cord takes forever and a day, not to mention it's not compatible with many apps, and it takes forever to search the web. I wouldn't give this thing to my worst enemy. IRULU products SUCK. Never again, I don't care if it's free. Heck IRULU should pay you just for wanting to use their crappy devices.

patjohn723, I can't agree more.
I stated this post last year. Many companies hav e tried to get into the tablet market this past year some are goo. Many like the iRulu, are a was for time.

Fro most topple, 6 to 8  inch is about right. The real issues are:
The Android OS lets you change font size and does a good job of word-wroap. So even people like me can use a 6 Inch tablet. That is also true of the Apple products.
Here is a recent review that I think is mostly fair.
