Title: Panasonic Video Camera PV-DV601 drivers are outdated Mkemusb.sys is missing

I have a Panasonic DV601 that comes with a disc that is good for a old windows program.  The drivers do not work on windows Xp etc.   Does anyone have knowledge of a program that will work on XP windows 8 or a mac computer.  I have 30 or some home movies and I want to take them off the tape before they go bad.   I have a usb connecter, rca cable, and a firewire.   None of my computers work.  The computer recognizes the camera but it will not download etc.   The error message Mkemusb.sys comes up when I hook up the usb cable.

Try using Windows XP compatibility mode, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301911 no guarantees though.
Online drivers for that model are also available just in case http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/PV-DV601?t=downloads&support
