how can I transfer doc documents into pdf documents. since my computer crashed of late, I have lost 'word' , and I am having difficulty in printing documents from emails. Thank you.
-
If you just need to print your e-mail, you can use WordPad. If you need something more elaborate you can download OpenOffice which is completely compatible with Windows Word.
-
Unfortunately I lost word when my computer crashed. Is it possible to download word free. Thanks
-
Open Office and Lore Office can read Word files.
Google Open Office.
-
If you're going with OpenOffice get it from here. (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/apache_openoffice_org_for_windows.html) There are lots of them out there but they come with baggage.

thank you, superdave. I have downloaded open office from where you suggested, but how do I find it on my system. Sorry to be a pain, but I am a rookie in IT. thank you, Edna

Videos for how to install Open Office
Open Office Videos (https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=how+to+install+openoffice&qpvt=how+to+install+open+office&FORM=VDRE)
If that does not help, come back here. :)

I'm interested in knowing how a computer crash could remove MS Word. Could you please elaborate?
-
I wish I could, Dave, but it is the first time I have dealt with this problem, and perhaps I didn't carry out the re instalment properly, because I have also lost music photographs and documents, which I am hoping to retrieve at some stage. Thanks again for your help.

Oh, I see. You did a re-install. That would wipe out all your files and programs that you had installed. You will have to re-install your programs if you have the disks. As for the pictures, music and documents, I'm afraid they're are gone. It always a good idea to backup your computer from time to time or at least save your important data to disks or an external drive.
