I found out one of the moderators banned me from the ComputerHope chat forum and I was banned unfairly, i did nothing wrong at all and nothing justifies the ban at all, I got banned and then I was told to be quiet by one of the mods, lostcoast, that is not the way a mod should speak to a member. I will not respect a moderator if they dont respect me, how would lostcoast like it if I told him to be quiet? unacceptable behavior lostcoast, unacceptable! dont u dare tell me to be quiet u dont tell me what to do, u are not my boss and i dont have to listen to u at all i did not even do anything wrong and how dare u ban me u cant do that!

IRC bans are not determined via a jury of your peers. If you think a ban is unfair, you move on (or wait for it to expire, which I think is 2 weeks). I don't have any logs but if I had to guess based on this post you were probably banned for your recalcitrant attitude.

Excuse me but that is an assumption on your part. Without knowing any facts how can you just say right off the bat that I had a bad attitude? Not very nice of you, camerongray has posted a log of the recent chat and I would like to know where I was misbehaving in that, I am guest 22 btw. lostcoast was the one who told me to be quiet who is he to say that I am not his slave and he is not my master, I am not trying to sound rude but this does not mean I will tolerate rudeness, especially when I never showed any in the first place, if you refer to the log where was I being rude? I had a humble question and the resposne I get is be quiet , nothing justifies that at all and I am really hurt and upest I feel I was treated badly, just one question though for you BC_Programmer are you completely on lostcoast's side, dont u think he is wrong at all? Should I be banned for no fault of mine?

Further I would like to apologize if I have hurt anyones' feelings, it was never my intention to do so, however I still believe my ban was unfair and thought of coming to the forum to explain how I felt I was treated unfairly, I dont think I was being rude or had any disrespectful attitude on the chat, I did not say anything hurtful to anyone, I had a computer question and for that I was kicked out which I believe is not fair at all, after all its a website for computer related questions, which obviously I never really had much of a chance to discuss.

And thank you also for a neutral and diplomatic reply as well, I understand you do not wish to get involved in this matter as you were not even in the chat, you were only posting this so that others understand what is going on, I would like to ask you, do you mind showing me where my tone sounded kind of rude? I may have missed that but if you would mind telling me where my tone was disrespectful I will accept it and apologize for it, just curious to know though do you think the moderator(in this case lostcoast)'s tone was also not very polite either with me? Look, I'm not a fan of lostcoast's, but please - give it a rest. We get it - you don't think you were rude and you don't think you deserved to be banned. Okay. Maybe you're right and maybe you're not - but enough. It's a 2 week ban from a chat room, not a firing squad. There are other things to do and other chat rooms to visit. Chill - your posts here are not winning you any fans or sympathy, trust me. Just let it go and move on.

There are many knee-jerk reaction bans in the Chat atmosphere...i'll neither defend nor explain them because i don't always agree with it either...
All i'm stating is you shouldn't over-react either...

Look, I'm not a fan of lostcoast's, but please - give it a rest. We get it - you don't think you were rude and you don't think you deserved to be banned. Okay. Maybe you're right and maybe you're not - but enough. It's a 2 week ban from a chat room, not a firing squad. There are other things to do and other chat rooms to visit. Chill - your posts here are not winning you any fans or sympathy, trust me. Just let it go and move on.
Its just that I was banned for no fault of mine! Wouldn't anyone in my position feel the same way? Another thing I dont get it is I feel the rules of the chat were kind of unfair, lostcoast because he/she is a mod is allowed to say whatever they want, and then ban me for absolutely nothing. Doesnt there have to be a valid reason for banning someone, dont the moderators have rules to follow as well? I am not against rule following at all, I will try my best to follow the rules of the site however why should I tolerate injustice being done to me? The worst part is I feel like I'm being ganged up against on this thread, taking lostcoast's side. I apologize again if I sounded rude at all in my post, I never wanted to hurt anyone, its just that knowing why I was banned would be nice so I would know not to do whatever I did in the chat again to avoid getting banned next time, thanks.
