Title: run time error

Please lend a hand to a computer novice.

When I try to login  to the internet I am getting  the following message.

Microsoft visual C++ runtime error

Program C:Program files\internet explorer\Iexplore.exe


What is going on and can any help me?

If you supply some more info such as OS, IE version machine specs etc.  some one will be along shortly to assist you...

I am trying to download a trial version of microsoft office 2003 and when i submit info it goes to a page that says server error in' / officestandardedition' application and under it is a runtime error. i use windows xp

Still no info except i'm running XP...

Thanks for the advice. It turns out it was a Google search engine that had corrupted  or miscomunicated with my computer. Any way problem solved.
