Title: avi video plays sound but no video showing

i have 2 avi file videos which my friends wanted me to watch but on my computer(98se) whenever i try to play them in any media player i have(windows,winamp,Divx) it plays the sound and nothing more! this might help, they both have an xvid codec. does anyone know how i can get it to show the video?

Have you tried Windows Media Player?

It would tell you more about problem.
Format, codec etc.

Go to free-codecs.com and download Lite-Codec then replay the video.  Post here if it works.  I had the same problem last week and that is what I did.
