Title: Microsoft Outlook
Post by: joodyanne on March 13, 2016, 05:24:47 PM
I would prefer to use Microsoft Outlook on Windows 10 (I presume it would work)   I have used Microsoft Outlook on my desktop with Win 7

Where can I download a free copy?

The Microsoft Outlook E-mail client is not free software.

Outlook is not free, you would either need to buy Outlook on its own or buy a copy of Microsoft Office that includes Outlook (making sure the edition of Office you purchase includes Outlook).

There are plenty of different, free email clients that do most of what Outlook does such as Mozilla Thunderbird.

If you want something like Outlook, but free, I use Mozilla Thunderbird and it is perfect and free for my needs.

Thanks everyone  I do have a paid copy of M/S Office 2010 which I can (or should be able to) download from the email which is in Win7 on my desktop.  The new notebook is the one with Win 10.   However when I tried to download it on Win 10, it says it will take 9 hrs, and after a couple of goes of well over an hour, it still has only loaded 4% though other programs I've loaded up whizzed past much faster.       Can you tell me why it would be so slow?  I can't get in touch with M/S about it as I am in Australia, and wont ring the US.

Thanks re Thunderbird, I'll see what happens re MS Office 2010 first.
