Title: Win 7 how to bring up the screen with the icons?

 I can not seem to get my screen with the icons on it. I don't want the window boxes
I am on win 7....I'd appreciate the help.

Right click taskbar, select "Show desktop".

  Thank you for your reply. I did that and still I cannot get the icons. I did however  wound up
with a lot of icons on the taskbar and cannot seem to  get
rid of these .Any suggesstions?
