Hello:
I am trying to run a school application and I get an Unhanded exception x001607. I am using Windows 10 Pro.
It was working fine until a couple of days ago. Now that I have to submit all my stuff, I am getting the error.
I really need your help.
Best regards,
-j

Which Application?
Does this application support Windows 10?
-
It is this application http://www.cem.umich.edu/Ioannou/strobosys/Stroboscope/stroboscope.htm
It is used at my uni. I think it is developed in C++.
It was working perfectly fine until a couple of days ago.

Looks like the project was created in Visio 2002 .... Windows 10 has some issues with Visio 2002 after an update. More here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/windows-10-auto-updates-visio-2002-service-pack-2/2e862e1a-4f2b-44c0-97b9-9d70ab7ca570?auth=1
Have you contacted the university to see if others are having this problem as well with that program and Windows 10? Maybe they have a known bug fix for this.
If its broken from an update to Windows 10, you could get it to work like it did a few days ago if you restore to a previous recovery point when the software ran properly. Be sure to backup your data to an external backup device prior to rolling back to earlier restore point, but if its a Windows update that broke it and you can go back to a previous point before the update, then the software should work as it did prior to the update.

Oh I see. I am using Visio 2013.
Seems like a recent update screwed it up.
Thanks.

Can't go back to a restore point, the computer does not give me the option.
Seems like I will have to reset the pc and start from scratch. :o
-
Kinda drastic...just uninstall Visio 2013...and install 2002
-
Uninstalled the program and Visio 2013.
Reinstalled Visio 2002 and the program, no luck.

Do All These Steps Over Again... (http://www.cem.umich.edu/Ioannou/strobosys/Stroboscope/installation.htm)
Note: The.exe has to be overwritten from the original install for it to run properly...Paragraph #4...

Thank you for your help.
It didn't work. I contacted the developer, waiting for the reply.
