Title: Protocol support issue with AsusRT-AC66U
Post by: Brown1 on December 27, 2016, 06:35:47 PM
Hi guys, we used to have business-grade cisco switch, but it got burned last week so we had to replace it fast, we had consumer quality asus regular router - RT-AC66U (https://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC66U/),our IP Encoder (http://questtel.com/item.php?id=1&product=21) outputs MPTS via RTP or UDP multicast - we tried it with udp - works fine, but it's a temporary solution, we need to have RTP stream, I tried to forward ports - no luck! What could be a problem with RT-AC66U, does it support rtp at all? Thank you!

Why not just get a used Cisco switch equivalent to the one you had?

Google for:used Cisco switches
.. and get lots of dealers.
About half the price and some with 1 year warranty.
