Title: changing password confusion
Post by: BellaUSA on March 28, 2017, 03:05:27 PM
Someone asked how to change their sign in password on Windows 8. Good question..I've never done this myself ! He said he's forgotten his sign in p.word, & hopes he doesn't have to take his pc in to have it done for him. Any way to do this painlessly ? Does one have to buy a disc or whatever ?

A Google search for "change" or "forgot admin password" will return a lot of results for you.

An option you were given when you first installed Windows 8 was to sign up for a Microsoft account or sign in with your existing Microsoft account. This account gives you an escape plan if you ever forget your Windows 8 password. Does your friend have a microsoft account

Password recovery tools are often called "password cracker" tools because they are sometimes used to "crack" passwords by hackers. Legally cracking or unlocking your own Windows password is certainly a legitimate practice!

Why pay anything?  :D
