Title: Avast free anti virus
Post by: joodyanne on May 04, 2017, 03:40:00 PM
There are two addresses with passwords showing in my list of passwords on Avast which I would like to delete as they are no longer relevant.  How do I do this please?

The best thing to do is to un-install Avast and re-install it. Be sure that you don't save any data from the uninstall.

Really - so I'd have to do this every time I wanted to delete someone?     Surely they'd have an easier way?

First of all, why are you putting passwords on Avast?

Because it has a facility for it, and it's safe.

Avast has a FAQ (https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB254) and deleting an "Account" (username/pw combination it would appear) is described as:

To edit or delete previously added account details, follow these steps:

Click an account tile to open the related details.
    Click Edit, then:
Modify the data for the existing account, and click Save to confirm your changes.
Click Delete to completely remove the account.

Thanks so much Mastermind - it was so easy after all, once you knew what to do.   It never occurred to me to "edit" then delete.

Many thanks again.
