1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

2) Have you recently installed or updated the driver for your Display Adapter?

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html)
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Allan,

Each time I tried to play the game Plants vs Zombies, the laptop stalls and I get a stop code message. I google the same and try to do what is recommended like driver update, graphics controller. I guess I messed up bad by trying to check for drivers via Dell and Intel and getting it all wrong.

Yes I did update the driver for the Display Adapter via the driver CD and checked and found no newer drivers via Windows update.

Blue screen. I got a message of zero crashes. Not sure if this is right as after I ran the program , I did not get the scanning option.

From this morning, when the laptop goes into standby mode, it does not come back to active mode. I have to power down the laptop via the power button located on the laptop. This has happened thrice already.

Earlier all I had to do was to press the power button, the Dell logo comes up on the screen on which I clicked upon and I was good to go.

Just wondering if it is  END OF DAYS for this Laptop.

Alan,

This morning I tried the blue screen and was able to get a report which I have attached.

Also on Kaspersky internet security- Action Center. I got this message-ACCESS TO MODULE IS BLOCKED-COM SURROGATE MAY RUN IMPROPERLY.

Hope you will bear with me.

Latest development:

Turned on the lap top this morning and this is the message I got on my screen.

C:\Prog Files\NEC Electronics\USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver\Application\nusb3mon.dll either  not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.Try installing again. Error status Oxc0000022.
nusb3mon.exe-Bad Image.

I clicked on nusb3mon,exe from prog files and nothing happened. I clicked on it once again and this is the message
USB 3.0 Monitor is already started.

Another crash/log attached.

I was playing Plants vs Zombies when this happened. The screen went blank and then came back to the game and finally quit.

I will uninstall the game after posting this.

Earlier I had rolled back to Windows 7 and reloaded all the drivers with some help.

I got the same thing on plants vs zombies on win 10 though.
