Title: Keyboard won't work with game

Hi I just installed Star Trek: Starfleet Command on my computer that is equipped with Windows XP. The game installed alright and is working fine except for the keyboard commands. Every time I hit a key I get a "beep" and nothing happens. I am semi-good with computers, but cannot figure out how to fix this issue. Have you tried a different keyboard such as a PS2 keyboard instead of a USB keyboard, or different keyboard even if same connection type?
