Title: windows defender suddenly turn off

i would like a help on this. when i want to turn it on, it pop up a message saying "this application is turned off by group policy". so if any one has come across this kind of a problem or knows how to fix it can i have a brief on that

does this PC have another AV program running?
is the PC connect to a workgroup or domain?
