Title: Microsoft Redistributables x86 False issue
Post by: Trytee on November 11, 2017, 01:09:25 PM
Cheers.
I've got a problem with the Microsoft Redistributable program,it used to be 4 or 6 of them installed, but now it's like 30 of them installed, most of them followed by the word "False".
I thought of uninstalling the "False" programs, but I don't wanna do something wrong.
Also checked my computer for viruses,it's all clean.

Should I just remove all the "False" versions or do nothing at all?

Here's a screenshot of it : https://imgur.com/MpLHoJy

I see no harm in uninstalling the older "false" copies and leaving the single non flase for each edition. You have 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2013 which you need to keep one instance of each of these which are the active ones otherwise software with dependencies will break if say you removed all 2008, 2010, and 2012 and kept 2013 and the software needed 2008, 2010, or 2012 edition of the redist package.
