Did you re-install ALL drivers from Dell when you upgraded the CPU ? ?

If not that would explain missing/non working features...

Did you re-install ALL drivers from Dell when you upgraded the CPU ? ? What driver because Linux has there own driver. As far as Dos I had oakcdrom.sys for the CD drive. I need a sound driver for the laptop. The HP DC 5750 I haven't did anything tell I fine a sound card that will work for Dos

Hi

Both the laptop and the HP are to modern to run pure DOS sorry. There is a solution in that you can run Dos within windows. This is called a virtual machine, this site explains it better than I can.

https://www.windowscentral.com/dosbox-windows-10

If you have other versions of windows there is other sites explaining how to set up DOS box.

I found 2 more I'm going to try sp42394 and SP45893. But I don't think I will have any luck.

I would like these 2 would load HIGH memory. https://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,165686.0.html

Hi Jack

Downloading drivers and installing them in windows won't fix sound not working when you are booting DOS from a USB drive.
Also there is no DOS support for either the Universal Audio Architecture in the HP or any sound cards or external USB sound devices you can use with the HP.
Dos box emulates the SB16 in software to allow sound in DOS.

The HP needs a low profile sound card and the slots are PCI or PCI-Express only.

Do you think Dosbox will ever support Dos 6.22?
