Title: HP laptop overheats during normal use, leading to unexpected shutdowns

I would like to check the status of the fans or the internal temp, but forgot how to do that.

Regardless, I do not have any working hypothesis as to why this is happening. The computer seems to function okay otherwise, but it is very noisy.

Please advise.

speedfan should work. temp and fan speeds
