Title: cd rom problem

when using a new cd I recieved, I had an error message of corrupted disk or not formated to run on windows...Whats the deal has happeded before, others have had same problem....

Is the CD burned by someone you know or is it store bought.  When I burn a cd on my XP box I have to finalize the session or some pcs (usually 98 boxes) can't read it.  Check the CD for dirt/scratches as well.
