Title: Chrome on Smart Phones - Caching Websites for Offline Viewing
Post by: DaveLembke on June 24, 2018, 07:30:07 AM
I have a Geek App 2.0 on my Smart Phone and it brought to my attention that Chrome now has the ability to cache websites for offline viewing; ( mainly intended for locations in the world where internet access is few and far between ), where you go to the sites from an internet connection on a  android device with Chrome and then you can download them to cache of the browser to be able to view them again from an area where there is no internet access. This is really cool as for I only have internet on my phone when I connect to an open wifi because I save my 160MB data plan for emergency use only when connecting to 3G network. I have a Tracfone that costs me just $19.99 every 90 days and my LG16C Phone with its 1.2Ghz Snapdragon Dual-core Arm processor is plenty for what I do.

Just sharing this in case people don't already know this about Chrome for Android. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/7343019?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
