Title: please help! help to clean macbook? please help!

hello there to all reading this, and thanks in advance for ever reading this or helping me out!  your awesome and dont forget it! <3
 :D

now im not a PC / Mac  wiz  so if who ever
helps me out could you please dumb it down for me...lol :P

i have a slow / old mac book  that i'd like to be faster running almost like new.
i get a few pop ups that i'll need help getting rid of too that i'll make in another post.

one of them that pops up is my "start up disk is almost full"
can some one help me to clean my macbook and help it run fast again?

You can try downloading anti-malware program and that should help to get rid of any PUPs, malware or outdated files and possible system vulnerabilities. Cleaning junk files might make a significant difference on the speed and performance

OliviaRoss is right, mainly junk files and malware can slow down your mac. Aside from cleaning our your files, you may want to just sync your photos with iCloud so they won't take up too much space. You can also clear the cache: Launch CleanMyMac, then choose System Junk. Press Scan and then Clean.

Clean junk files and app cache. this would make it run faster.

Also disable auto-login app
