Hello,
I have noticed several times that when I visit a site like Ebay and search for a product, within minutes an ad for that very same product is now appearing on my Yahoo email page.
How is that happening?
Thank you

The cookie monster is out to get you. ;D
Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie to get better informed about the use of "cookies" by websites to track your activity.

Hello Soybean,
Thanks for the great information.
I think I would rather deal with the Frankenstein monster rather than the cookie monster.
At least it would be an analog fight.
I think I am going to go back to reading newspapers.
Thanks again!

Oh that adware and all its data collecting. Advertisers have access to see your internet browsing habits and all that stuff so you may need to scan your system for these PUPs to solve this annoying issue

Ah, cookies! Offline, they're good, but online... they can be pretty annoying! Make sure to always clear our your cookies.

There's no escape from the cookies, unfortunately. But you can get an ad blocker if you're bothered with the ads. If you're on Chrome, they have an extension for that. Just search it in the apps.
