when i click on chrome i usually have frequently visited sites under the logo but are no longer there,any ideas?

Did someone else access your computer and delete these when they cleared the history to hide where they were online or anything like that, as this is the most common cause of stuff like this?
Maybe it was lost in an update of the browser?
Are you able to generate new ones now?

or they got wiped after running some sort of maintenance program, like CCleaner.is the other Chrome data there; bookmarks, extensions, homepage etc, if not, maybe a new profile is in use.
