Title: DVDRW Drive doesn't work!

For some wierd reason after burning a cd with Nero my dvdrw drive can't even read cds. It doesn't burn cds either. It just keeps on saying please insert a blank cd when I tried like 10 empty ones. I don't know what the problem is. I even upgraded the firmware for it. It is a IDE 1008.

Sometimes they just die. How old is it? Can you try it in another machine to see if it is the drive, or a configuration problem?
