Title: Excel formula to find rate of interest from cash flow

I keep getting a number error whenever I type the RATE formula in Excel. The syntax of the RATE formula is =RATE(nper,pmt,pv,[fv],[type],[guess]). I have tried to type actual values instead of cell addresses in this formula. I have also increased the number of iterations to 1000 but the error persists. Please tell me what is wrong.
