Title: Windows 10 on Hp Stream
Post by: Ablount23 on December 26, 2018, 08:21:47 PM
I have a HP stream model 11-y010wm that I have forgot the password to. I tried factory resetting the device but it comes up with a message saying "Additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. Free up some space and try again.
This video is what got me to the factory reset.

Any suggestions??

Contact HP and see if you can order a system recovery USB drive.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

This would allow you to boot from the USB, and wipe the computer of all previous data.

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot download bootable HP recovery software. You must order the USB directly from HP (if it is available for your model).
