Title: windows 8 installation error

Trying to do a fresh install enter the product key an its generating this saying that it cant install Windows


Windows cannot install the required files may be corrupt or missing make sure all files for installation are available and restart the installation error code 0x80070017

What method, DVD disk, USB pen drive?

DVD, but I'm considering usb if nothing else but, the disc worked for installs else where an this isba 64x unit

OK. Bad or borderline DVD drive, or bad or borderline disk. or unlucky combination of these things. Change things one at a time until it works. Hope you have a Windows license. Help ends ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
