Title: Cpu clock speed drops
Post by: Sudiip08 on August 31, 2019, 03:43:31 PM
My laptop is Dell g7 i7 8750h with gtx 1060 max q. A while ago I undervolted and underclocked my CPU by -100 on both core and cache and clock speed to 3.6 GHz but while playing games like Apex legends my CPU speed drops to 2 to 2.9 GHz which I think should be higher. Help me find the fix. Thank you

Hi I have found when you run Windows 10  it adjusts the speed depending on the tasks you are running. This conserves the battery and reduces heat.
You can set your own settings in windows power setting . There is an entry
I know how temping it is to tinker with settings to get the last drop of speed. I suggest it is better to enjoy stability than a few more FPS.
