I have a 300mbps internet but with my ethernet, i only run my macbook pro at about 92mbps. I have checked the cable and i have cat5e which should run fine and ive also gone through my computer settings, and by cap is at 1000mbps so i do not understand why it is running so slow

Is your Mac wired directly to your modem via ethernet? What kind of modem are you using? Are you using a router in addition to the modem?
Hit Command + Space, type "Network Utility", and go to the Info tab. Can you post a screenshot of it? What's your link speed, and how many errors do you see on the right side?
How are you testing your speed at the moment? Try https://fast.com, what does that show?
