Title: Lost my start menu !!

Help !  I have windows 2000 and have lost my bottom task bar as well as the start button . It is nowhere around the edges or the top of screen. Any ideas ?

Reboot into safe mode, then do a virus scan.

Thanks all - well I tried to scan virus in safe mode and it would not work ( PCillian ) so I re-booted and tried to scan in the regular mode thru the program files. Found no virus however the taskbar came back up !!!!!!!
