Title: Help with Music Playback

Hey everyone,
I'm having problems with music playback. All my music files are playing back through all programs at about double the speed they are meant to. I've got windows 2000 and i don't remember changing any setting that could have affected this. Does anyone have any suggestions to what it may be?

When did his start? Any details about the system could be helpful also.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

it started about six months ago, but we got a new computer so it didn't worry me. Now ive given the computer with the problem to my friend who wants to use it for downloading music for DJing and editing mixes. I'm not sure of the specs as its at another house at the moment but i could find out.
