You cannot change the file attributes on cd-r media. It is a backup to restore the files to the state they were in at the time you wrote the cd. If your drive and backup software supports rewritable media that is what you should use. You should also note that if you restore files from the cd-r media to the HD, they will be restored as read only and the attribute will have to be reset.
