Title: Computer doesn't read CD'S
Post by: Sammy_Doll on April 14, 2006, 12:00:08 PM
Everytime i insert a CD into the dvd drive, it doesn't read it. Even when i go into my computer and select D:drive it will say there is no CD in my computer when there is one already inside it. There are no error messages and i have checked for viruses on the D:drive and there seems to be no viruses at all. I wanted to reboot my computer but i cant now because it wont read the CD you need to reboot it, i have made sure the CD's are clean and when they are it seems to make no difference at all, what can i do to sort this problem?

Which operating system are you using? Has this drive ever worked properly? Have you made any changes to your system recently? Have you tried running a Windows Update (only do this if you have Windows XP)?
