A made a few tweaks about two days ago and was surprised that I cannot access the Display control panel, anymore.
I’ve tried two things:
1. I right-click on the desktop; select properties. But no access.
2. I go to the Start Menu; select Display. But no access.
I keep getting this message, “Your system administrator disabled the Display control panel.” How do I enable the Display control panel?

Using a Restore Point from prior to the tweaks comes to mind as a possible solution.

jamesmag2325....... This should fix things up ........ But remember to backup the registry before you start just in case you do something wrong .
Click on START, RUN and type REGEDIT, press OK. This opens the Registry Editor. Be careful not to change anything!!!!
Look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER - click on + to expand it.
Click on - Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/System.
Then, under System, look for the file called NoDispCPL - this means it's the settings for displaying the Control Panel.
Highlight NoDispCPL and double click - a box will appear called "Edit DWORD value"
In the box called Value Data, it will have the number "1" - change this to zero "0".

Hi, dl65.
I did what you suggested and it works. Well...sort of. I can now access the Display control panel but the drop-down options are all blank.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
