Title: Fallout error?
Post by: GeorgeG on June 12, 2006, 06:17:04 AM
Hi all,

Thanx for being part of this forum. If I start fallout it always start loading and than ask me to stopped/disable all CD/DVD emulation programs running. I had it mapped in two drives on my PC.
I stopped all related services in the "applications" bar, and also disable same in startup menu, but still no luck. How can I get around this one?
Running XP Home on 1GB RAM, Acer 7600GT, 500w PSU, 2 x 160GB SATA & 2 x 120IDE HDD.

Please help.

Thanx

When did this happen? Have you made any changes to your system recently? Have you tried searching the game manufacturer's webiste for patches?

Hi,

A week ago, but that was the first time I installed it. It tries to open up, but then it popped up an error
"shutdown all CD/DVD emulation tools" . This gives me an indication that some emulation programs are preventing it from starting up.
I'd used Daemon tools to hooked up CD 1 & 2.
No I didn't contact the manufacture yet.
Like I said I did disabled all the emulation programs/tools I could find, but no luck.

I would say to check the manufacturer's website for patches. If that doesn't help, search their support documents and see if there's a similar issue to yours on there.
