I am looking for a free antivirus scanner for my stupid Macintosh.
YES THEY DO GET VIRUSES! And I don't want one.
Looking for something free... and simple... with on demand and on access scanner.
I have an iMac, 266MHz, 5GB HD, OS 9.

Wow, this is hard! the only things I found was stuff for os 10, or os X, and it was(mostly) not free, and was (Barf) McAfee, and (run screaming, they have come to screw up macs too) Norton :-X. I even went to the apple website and looked around and found a bunch of nothing. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2169862 I'm going to go to bed now, but I'll keep looking tomarrow, which is now, so in several hours.

if anyone can download it, please send it to me in a ZIP file. I cant download it.

First of all. The version I had had nothing to do with Symtec. It was writen AT the univertist but not by the students. The version I have is kinda jittery but gets the job donw.

OK,
The link I found was not for Norton. The Norton post was something I found, it was information about something that the UO offers.

This link is for the AV Disinfectant designed by UO students.
The problem I am having is that I cant get it to download, and I would like someone to download it, and zip it so I could get it onto my flash drive and onto my Mac.
