Title: Outlook 2003 Read Receipts
Post by: Cavemonster on July 21, 2006, 08:27:26 AM
Say I send an email message to someone, after having chosen the option that I receive a read receipt when the recipient(s) open the email.

If the recipient deletes the message without opening, will I receive a notice of that (something like what's highlighted below)?

No, you will not receive any message if the recipient chooses not to acknowledge the request, or deletes it without having read it.

In my humble opinion, read/delete receipts are an intrusive menace.  I always refuse to send them or any other kind of receipt.
