Title: Sharing a Printer, Part II
Post by: Bisbee on March 30, 2004, 02:11:00 PM
I want to share one printer with two pc's.  I can hook one up to the usb port and the other to the parallel, which is a definite improvement over having to move the printer cable every time I want to print, but if I have both pc's running at once - which is the reason i have two, so I can multitask - the printer will only recognize one of them.  I basically have to remove the connection to the "live" pc and restart the printer to get it to recognize the "dead" pc.  Any workaround for this, or am i doomed to one pc at a time?

Do you have your PC networked? You should be able to set up a home network were both of your PC's will recognize the Printer. Check out the link below to learn about Home Networking.
